How to use this calculator
Enter your age, sex, height, and weight, then choose your activity level. Select Metric or Imperial units first. Press Calculate to see your estimated BMR and TDEE.
What the result means
BMR is estimated using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation. TDEE multiplies that BMR by an activity factor reflecting how much you move in a typical week, from sedentary to extra active.
Important limitations
This calculator provides a population-level estimate. It does not account for medical conditions, medications, body composition, or day-to-day variation in activity.
FAQ
What's the difference between BMR and TDEE?
BMR is the energy your body uses at complete rest. TDEE adds your daily activity on top of that.
Which activity level should I choose?
Pick the option that best reflects your typical week, not an especially active or inactive day.
Can I use imperial units?
Yes — switch to Imperial in the calculator to enter your height in feet and inches and your weight in pounds.
